How to Prepare for Laser Treatment

Patients cannot be treated if they are sunburnt or had sun exposure (tanned) within two weeks of the appointment, as the laser could crackle any pigment on the skin.

We often suggest if patients are regular visitors of the beach in summer, they do their laser treatments through winter.

Before you come in for a laser session, we also ask that the area being treated has been shaved or a depilatory cream used. If you are unable to shave the area (for example, your back) we can do a dry shave for you in the clinic.

How Many Sessions are Needed?
