Veinlite: What is it?
The Veinlite is a mapping and access device designed for general vein access in adults & children. It is the most powerful LED light Handheld Transilluminator device.
At Define Laser & Cosmetic Clinic, we use this device for treatments such as cosmetic injectables and spider veins in the face.
Before your anti-wrinkle, filler, or facial spider vein treatment, we use the vein finder to mark out high vascular areas to ensure precise injection points, this, in turn, reduces the risk of bleeding and bruising.
We also find it decreases patient pain and anxiety, should they be prone to experiencing any.
Veinlite Transilluminator: How it’s used in your Treatment?
After your initial free consultation, should you decide to go ahead with treatment, Dr Lindsay and Aesthetic Injector – Sarah, will talk you through each step of the treatment.
Firstly, your face will be cleansed, then the Veinlite will be pressed against the skin and transillumination will be used to reveal vein structures.
The broad C-shaped opening prevents the vein from rolling during venepuncture by stretching the skin for easy needle insertion and keeps the vein from rolling during access once a suitable vein has been found.
