Treating Facial Redness with Laser
Redness on the face can be caused by blood vessels being close to the skin surface or at times, rosacea or spider veins. No matter what the cause is, Define Laser can help to reduce the affects on your face.
We have seen some amazing results and very happy customers due to our laser treatment technique.
- The heat from the laser collapses the visible blood vessels.
- When the laser hits the targeted blood vessels, they are microscopically heated by this process and the body reacts by eliminating the intentionally injured vessels. They are then reabsorbed over a period of time.
While there is no cure for rosacea or spider veins, the signs can disappear for long periods of time. If and when redness recurs, it can simply be controlled with another treatment.
What is Involved in Treatment?
For the best results, we ask that you avoid sun exposure before and during the course of your treatment.
We treat the redness and broken veins with Laser which delivers a pulse of bright light to the affected area, causing the broken vessels to heal up and fade away.
There is a feeling of heat during the laser treatment and your face may appear red for a period of time afterwards. Ice packs can help with this discomfort.
Patients are required to wear goggles during their treatment to protect their eyes from the intensity of the laser light.
It is recommended that you receive about 2 -3 monthly treatments to produce the best possible outcome.
Although facial redness is likely to be improved by treatment, it won’t disappear completely.
