What treatment involves
Our acne scare treatment is a minimum course of 6 sessions, 4 – 6 weeks apart, with treatment focused on active acne and acne scars on the face
After 2 sessions we expect visible results to be noted, however 6 sessions is needed to be completed.
Improvement in scars may be 30% after 6 sessions with our non-ablative laser while active acne may be reduced by up to 70% with less breakouts with this treatment course. Some maintenance laser sessions 3 – 4 month single sessions will be required to control active acne.
What to expect from treatment
Facial skin surrounding the acne regions become red and more inflamed for approximately 3 days after treatment, followed by some mild skin peeling in the active acne regions.
We use cooling creams to reduce the itch and redness and heat after the laser session and for the subsequent week.
After treatment
Following your procedure at the clinic, we recommend that at home you ensure you have good skin hydration, keep the skin clean and avoid sun exposure for at least 7 days post treatment.
