How Under Eye Filler Works
Gravity and loss of collagen results in a downward movement of the tissues in this region around the eye. As we get older, there is some loss and thinning of the bony structure also, which is called bone resorption – an aging process!
To help slow this process down, a finer filler with local anaesthetic is used to lift the delicate region in the tear trough and under the eye region.
Injection sites are placed gently over the bony part of the orbit – around the eye and just below the tear trough region, depending on your requirements.
This treatment freshens and aids with a more youthful appearance around the eye and midface region and lasts for about 6-8 months.

After Treatment
- This is an area with thinner skin and fine blood vessels so some swelling, redness or bruising may occur for 3 – 7 days.
- After 24 hours makeup can be applied if necessary.
- Gentle pressure is applied after the treatment to reduce bruising risk as well as a particularly fine needle chosen for this region
- Swelling is reduced by slower injection techniques and frequent use of ice after the treatment.
